General terms and conditions
1/ Terms of sale
Passengers declare to know and to accept general terms of sale. The order implies acceptance of these conditions.
2/ Rates
Our rates are valid from January 1st 2018 and are subject to change without notice. These prices include VAT at 10.0%, transport liability insurance for a fee and the organization of the flight. Only for the option of paired gift voucher, they also include accommodation, breakfast and transportation to the meeting point for a take-off at Chaumont-sur-Loire. See prices and bookings
– 3 options are proposed:
A/ Simple balloon flight reservations
After booking by phone the customer must confirm by mail with a deposit cheque, not cashed before the flight, 85 € per passenger. The balance is payable on the day of the flight. If the flight can not take place and the customer does not wish to postpone it, the deposit cheque is returned without any charge.
B/ Balloon Flight Ticket
Purchase of a valid ticket for 2 years, (or 1 year for promotional offers), so as to cover 2 complete flying seasons: a season starts on April 1st and ends on October 15th. Payment is made by cheque, ANCV holiday cheque by post, or by debit card from our website or by phone. Cashing is made upon receipt of order. The customer then gets in touch with Aérocom by telephone to choose (subject to availability) the date of his flight. The flight ticket is not refundable but transmittable to another person during it validity period. The extension of a ticket is possible for 30 euros per person per year.
C/ Coupled Gift: Hot Air Balloon Flight and Bed and Breakfast Accommodation
The coupled gift ticket includes a part of balloon flight ticket and a part of accommodation with breakfast in bed and breakfast 3 ears « l’Envol ». Cashing is made upon receipt of order
« Bed and Breakfast and Hot Air Balloon » gift tickets are valid for 2 seasons (or 1 season for promotional offers) (one season goes from April 1st to October 15th). The service includes the accommodation in a double room for a minimum of 2 consecutive nights with breakfast, the pick-up of passengers on the spot at the Envol for a take-off at Chaumont-sur-Loire, the hot-air balloon flight and the return to the place of departure. The « Envol Stay Balloon Flight « , « Envol Cosy Stay Balloon Flight » and « Envol Prestige Stay Balloon Flight » offers are Aerocom exclusives: if your flight can not take place for weather reasons during your stay, and if you have tried 4 possibilities in the measure of our availability (the 2 flights of the morning and the 2 of the evening), your flight ticket remains valid and we offer you *, so that you can come back and take full advantage, a new night in one of our guestrooms. This additional night offered (same service with breakfast) is to be chosen every day of the week (subject to availability) except Fridays, Saturday nights and eve of public holiday.
* Except if 24 hours before your arrival we announce the impossibility of making the flight during your stay and that you choose to move despite everything.
In accordance with the regulations for users of distance selling, you have a period of 14 days to cancel your order. Beyond that, no cancellation will be possible.
3/ Flight conditions
Passengers accept the specific constraints related to the organization of a balloon flight. Pregnant women and children under 6 are not allowed to sit in our hot air balloons. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. At the moment of booking, the customer agrees to indicate the weight of each passenger on the form. The absence of written information means that the weight of each passenger is less than 80 kg. We are not qualified to judge your physical condition for the balloon flight; it is up to you to take advice from a doctor if in doubt. Our baskets are not equipped with a seat.
4/ Confirmation of flights
Passengers must imperatively contact us by phone the day before from 06h00 pm to 06h30 pm for the flight the next morning or the same day from 12h00 to 12h30 for the flight of the evening. If not, they will be considered as not present on the flight and will not be included on the boarding list.
If the flight can not take place, it is postponed to another date at the customer’s choice within the limits of our availability.
5/ Cancellation by Aérocom
Aérocom reserves the right to cancel a flight for: bad weather conditions, safety conditions or if there is not enough passengers (only the pilot is able to appreciate the opportunity of a flight). This cancellation can take place at the place of takeoff; in this case, Aérocom will not be held responsible for the expenses committed by the customers to go to the meeting point (accommodation, catering and transfer).
6/ Modification of the service
Aerocom can, for any reason of safety or interest of the flight, modify the place of take-off or change balloon.
7/ Cancellation of the reservation or no presentation of the client
Payment of the balance of the price must be made no later than the day of the flight. In case of no phone confirmation or absence of the passenger (except postponement or cancellation 7 days before) on the date and at the time of the meeting, confirmed by Aérocom, the actual cancellation will be noted and Aérocom will cash the deposit paid of service. If it is a flight ticket or paired gift ticket, it will be considered consumed.
8/ Rules on board
All passengers must be on the boarding list. The pilots of Aérocom are the only masters on board and as such have authority over all the people on board. They may at any time disembark any person among the passengers or any change that may present to the flight a danger. They can interrupt the flight at any time for security reasons. No service will be refunded if the flight lasted a minimum of 30 minutes.
9/ Insurance
Passengers are insured according to the prevailing air conditions (Montreal Convention). The responsibility of Aérocom towards the passengers in the event of death or physical injury is limited to a maximum sum of € 114,000 per passenger. The responsibility of Aérocom cannot be committed concerning luggage Aérocom can not be held liable for luggage or personal effects (cameras, film cameras, clothing, mobile phone, etc.).
